Because Dreams and Visions are 2 of God's main ways of speaking we are posting teaching notes etc. for you to be enriched by.

Types of Dreams

2 Main types

Literal

These dreams are easy to understand. We can however still catagorise them, and apply the correct action to be taken to maximise their benefit.They are short messages, yet their importance could be huge

Symbolical

These dreams are metaphors,parables,symbols that represent ideas, etc that the Spirit wants to communicate." A Picture tells a thousand words". So usually the message is large, filled with details, and so it comes in this form in order for God to "load " it with revelation. If this type would come as a literal dream, it could take a few hours or nights to "download "

It usually brings me to a fresh understanding that I need God, my dependance is renewed.I have a renewed understanding of God's infinte wisdom and I am awed by this Hidden message and eventhough I do not understand it ,yet.....I am aware of the message waiting beyond the drawn curtain of Symbolism and parables.

Nebuchadnezzar.....was willing to kill for the interpretation, Pharao made Joseph prime minister because he could interpret his dream

I would probably forget the details if God does not speak in this picture language, as my memory capaccity would not be able to contain the details except by the series of Pictorial events that I receive as a "story". And being intrigued by the carricatural pictures that carry the message, I remember them because of the IMPOSSIBLE element ......"cows out of the Nile......eating cows....the most ugly cows I ever saw"

Catagory of Dreams

1. Soul and Spirit Healing dreams....love forgiveness etc. revealed and imparted for a situation

2. Cleansing dreams.....attirude, sin issues are reveled that does not please God

3. Calling dreams....my calling is revealed .....Joseph, Solomon,

4. Warning dreams..".warnings in the mornings"

5. Ungodly Dreams.....dark Dreams, reoccuring nightmares....usually this will show up in another area of my life

6. Dreams that are influenced by my natural body...sickness, pregnant,chemicals,you can dream the baby's dreams when you are pregnant

7. Chemically influenced dreams......medication,drugs, alcohol

8. Self revealing dreams.......the condition of my heart is revealed

9. Faith Building dreams....Gidion

10. Correction dreams.....some area in my life need ot be put in order

11. Direction dreams......

12. Intercession dreams......all negative dreams should first fall into this catagory.....a call to prayer

13. Revelatory, prophetic Dreams.....

14. Third heaven dreams....taken into the heavenly realms

15. Warfare dreams...a call to war for a situation or persons life

16 Creative, invention revelaing ,dreams.....witty inventions are revealed

17. Word of Knolwedge....solution revealing dreams

18.Deliverance Dreams.....

19. Multiple scene, continuance dreams in the same night of the same dream

20 Soulish Dreams.....my soul voices itself, reveals its condition,needs etc. can be reoccuring

21. Desire dreams....because of a strong desire , it is mirrowed in my dreams

God’s Prophets

Dear Friends

So we ask ourselves what are the differences between the true and the false……

“Yes but his words are so accurate I heard a church member say “…….after it emerged that a prophetic minister was cheating on his wife…..

Another mentioned “ I cannot make any decisions except I first ask my prophet……he has never heard wrongly “

And the favourite “ do you have a word for me “

I am very concerned that we will begin to see such error in the church concerning the prophet and a pre-eminence given to this ministry again that actually belongs to Christ.

It sounds like I am warning against myself…..but as you continue to read you will understand.

The error lies in the focus away from Christ Jesus on to me and my word from my prophet……

There is a hairline difference between this and fortune telling.

 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

ALL the Old testament Prophets had but one central message…..the revelation of the coming Saviour…….Christ Jesus……the Son of God…the climax of all revelation !!

If our Prophetic ministries do not reveal Christ…..if our words do not bring people and the church closer to Christ……if its about our successful prophetic ministry , our latest Title…., our large prophetic network…who we know ……and who we are………we are really nothing more than Christian fortunetellers that enjoy the following of people because “we have a word for them”

Let us pray and hide behind the glorious cross of Christ…and let every spot- on word of Knowledge, and every revelation bring Christ to the lime light……and let the prophets not tie the people to themselves making them dependent on their words…….but let the true prophets be like John the Baptist and let us trumpet it loud and clear…..THERE IS THE LAMB OF GOD that takes away the sins of the World……

The Prophetic Levels

                              


Prophecy can be expressed in 4 levels


1.The Spirit of Prophecy

Rev 19:10
These prophecies  serves as the  testimony of Jesus in the NT church.
The Spirit of prophecy is the Holy Spirit's mantle of Prophetic anointing which is given at various times,to a people or person and without which he could not prophecy .
Those who do not have the gift, and who are not Prophets cannot prophecy except the Spirit of prophecy is upond them.
The wide Body of Christ can function in this level.
The Limitations are: No directional words, no judgemental words,

2.The gift of prophecy

Rom 12:6

Those with the gift of prophecy, prophecies on regular basis. It can become a resident gift
The Limitations are....It has to remain as edification, exhoration and comfort
                                    No directional words, no Judgemental words
1Cor 14:3             

3.The office of the Prophet

Ephe 4:11

The prophet moves in Edification, Exhortation and comfort but also in guidance, rebuke, judgment and correction because of the added level of Revelation that are not as evident in the first 2 levels

Attributes of the Prophetic office

1.An appointed Spokesman for God –the Authority level is much higher than the  first 2 levels

2.Commisioned by God – a definite call , could not be self chosen,or appointed by man

3.Receptor of Revelation

As a “seer” he must be  receiving revelation either by the Visionary or perceptive or both

Visionary through      Visions, dreams and trances

Perceptive through         W of Wisdom
                                    W of Knowledge
                                    Discernment of Spirits


4.The predictive element

The prophet will from time to time bring predictive words forth
Ezekiel 33:32-33
1 Peter 1:10
Agabus   Acts 11:27-28, 21:10-11
Luke indicated that ALL prophets predicted Christ's first coming and the 2nd coming ..... Acts 3:18,24
Not every message has to have predictive elements

4.Inscripturation

The 4th realm is revelation that is “new” which becomes authoritive as Scripture. The highest from of revelation. 2 Tim 3:16
This is Not given today. God no longer adds to the written word, nor gives 'new' revelation today .God no longer uses the prophet to write scripture as it is already written.When a movement begins to exhalt the prophet to this function today you see sects forming.



It is thus important to understand as a prophetic person, maybe future Prophet ,that we all have to start somewhere. So starting in the first 2 levels I gain experience. The future prophet though , will begin to receive more revelation and should thus first test this by either asking questions , and checking the revelation with mature prophets before making it public. Most future prophets move too fast to the 3rd level and share revelation too fast.

In "practise" sessions it is important to remember that words still have power even in a practise session. I remember a situation at a "prophetic school " I witnessed.......
A student prophet was encouraged to share his revelation and told a lady........."you should paint your nails and change your hair because God wants to give you a husband........".  The mature prophet did not explian the levels to the students and so the student just said what he thought he saw......
So the lady took the casette home and played it to the unsaved husband . His response was......" your God does not even honour our marriage.....I forbid you to return to that church...."

In our endevour to stimulate the prophetic it is vital that the levels are respected and the liberties and limitations of each level is respected especially among student prophets.
I will not change into a car if I sleep in my garage.......so going to a Prophetic School will not make me a prophet......but the School of the Prophet is a necessity in our local churches to coach student prophets in handling and administering the given gifting and calling of God.

After identifying the prophetic calling in my life I should now understand how the given prophetic word will manifest itself through me.These are the modes of delivering the revelation.





The modes of Delivering the prophetic revelation

1.Revelation through the Prophets'words.

A. Spoken Words.....1Kings 17;1
B. Written Words....through the writing of their books ...Isaiah, Jer,Daniel
C.Language of the prophets......riddles,parables,mataphors allegory,similes,hyperboles personifications,SYMBOLISM.Daniel the most graphic, the whole book of Revelation (contains 350 symbols)
D.The prophetic Perfect...old test hebrew only has 2 tenses...
                    Perfect....action is completed
                    Imperfect...not yet completed
 Example  Isaiah 9:6......so certain it would happen , its stated in the past   tense ....even though it would still come in future.

2.Revelation through the Prophet's Life

A. Hosea.....Married to harlot symb the spiritual adultery of Israel. Hos3:1-3
B. Jonah...sym death and resurection of Jesus 3 days in fish
C. Naming of the children....the childs life served as prophetic message,Isaiah,Hosea

3.Revelation through the prophet's actions

Symbolical Acts...graphic means and dramatized God's message
A. Isaiah   walked naked and barefoot symbolise the fate awaiting Egypt
B. Jeremiah  wearing a joke around neck
C.Ezekiel Mock attack on  Jerusalem       4:1-3
             lie on left side for 390 days 40 dayz on right  4:4-8
             to eat unclean foods for 390 days  ..   4:9-17 symb Israels lack         
             in Exile
             burn 3rd part of hair ..   5:1-4  symb the destruction of
            Jerusalem
             prophecy to dry bones ..   chapter 37

D.The prophet Ahijah.....tore Jereboams garment into 12 pieces symbolizing the dividing of the Kingdom....1kings 11:30
E. The prophet Agabus..binding Paul's hands and feet   Acts 21:11

The demonic realm uses this principle in Voodoo practises.As the act is symbolised its called into excistence, created, and then excits , and thus can came to pass.Of course a demonic spirit attaches itself to voodoo practises.
