Extreme or Hyper Grace teachings
Of course it is true that we are saved not by works but by the Blood of Christ. However some false teachers are teaching the body of Christ that a Christian does not need to repent or ask for forgiveness for sins committed in the present or the future...that the Blood of Christ has already paid for such sins. Yes we can receive forgiveness but consider the following scriptures :
Jas 5:13 Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.
Jas 5:14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
Jas 5:15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
Jas 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
1Co 11:26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.
1Co 11:27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.
1Co 11:28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.
1Co 11:29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.
1Co 11:30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.
1Co 11:31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
1Co 11:29 For if he eats the bread and drinks from the cup unworthily, not thinking about the body of Christ and what it means, he is eating and drinking God’s judgment upon himself; for he is trifling with the death of Christ.
1Co 11:30 That is why many of you are weak and sick, and some have even died.
These Scriptures are written to Believers that have tasted the saving GRACE of Christ
No Friends Christians need to stay in repentance and receiving forgiveness whenever something has tried to destroy our relationship with Christ.... be quick to repent and receive forgiveness.
Jesus had something against most churches in the book of Revelation and encouraged them to be quick to repent.
Rev 2:20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
Rev 2:21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.
Rev 2:22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.
Rev 2:23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.
Why would the scripture talk about a FALLING AWAY in the last days if our future sins already are forgiven...then it would be impossible to fall away .
Jud 1:4 I say this because some godless teachers have wormed their way in among you, saying that after we become Christians we can do just as we like without fear of God’s punishment. The fate of such people was written long ago, for they have turned against our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.
Jud 1:4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
These false teachers will say o no thats not what I am saying...but friends telling people that their future sins are automatically forgiven without our repentance and asking for that forgiveness is exactly saying : " do as you like without having a fear of God's punishment."
Jesus notes that HE will cast jezebel into a bed...and kill her children...this is the same Jesus Christ of the 4 Gospels....the same Jesus that heals also , still forgives when we repent and ask for forgiveness...today ...as Believers.
